Frozen Falls

Last week I moved to Hamilton, into the room that I'll be staying at the next couple of months. When I arrived I had to clean a bit.. and shop some stuff at IKEA.. but now I'm happy with my (superbig!) room. Also, the location is great! I can even get at uni when it's -30 degrees, as it is just a 7 minute walk. 

Today was my last weekend day without any academical responsibilities. On one hand I look forward to all the courses at McMaster, but on the other hand I was getting very much used to the just travelling and sightseeing part of this journey. In order to go out with a *Bang, we decided to go to the Niagara Falls yesterday. We came up with the idea of going before, but because of the rising temperatures (above 0!) next week, we felt the urge to go this weekend. Mostly because it is not likely to see the falls in the state that they are right now, with most of the water and surroundings frozen and covered with a nice thick blanket of snow. And for sure it was stunning! A real winter wonderland. Also, because of the cold. Despite the incredible views we were not able to be outside longer than 20 minutes, but after some inside warm-up we went out there again to be astonished by the amazing views. I can hear some of your minds asking for pictures, and I will upload some soon. However, because of my frozen brains I forgot the fact that I had my camera strap around my wrist and I dropped my camera.. So, the next couple of weeks I won't be able to upload pictures. But I'll make up for it when I get the camera repaired. 

Tomorrow will be my first day studying at McMaster University. The lecture that I'll be going to is at another location of the university, in Burlington. It will take the shuttle bus from campus around 20 minutes to get at the location, as this course is given at the School of Business. However, this course is a backup for if I don't get in the course that I'm aiming for, health geography. But to show that I'll be capable of following the geography course the professor organised a meeting on Tuesday. Curious how that will end? I'll keep you updated ;).
